Nico Williams had a difficult night on Saturday, as he failed to make an impact during Athletic Club's defeat to Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium. The 22-year-old was also booed by the home supporters during the first half, with the reasons believed to be due to his decision not to join the Catalan club this summer.
Williams lost his battle with Jules Kounde, and to make things worse, he took muscle discomfort during the 90 minutes. He will be evaluated by the medical staff of Athletic in the next 24 hours, as per Marco.
As things stand, Williams is still fit to face Valencia at San Mames on Tuesday night, although Ernesto Valverde may choose to rest his star winger with next weekend's clash against Atletico Madrid.
Williams was not alone Athletic Club player to leave the Olympic Stadiums in trouble. Yuri Berchiche suffered a blow to the shoulder during the match, and also needs an appointment with the medical team.
