Manchester United agree £25m deal with Napoli for Scott McTominay

Napoli have agreed a deal with Manchester United for Scott McTominay, talkSPORT understands.

The move is subject to all parties being happy with the player's terms, with the Red Devils set to receive a fee of €30m (£25.4m) plus a percentage of future sales.

The midfielder's future at Old Trafford has been up in the air this summer as Manchester United need to sell him to comply with Financial Fair Play.

As a product of the academy, McTominay's sale would be considered pure profit.

This will help Manchester United to sign his possible replacement. Paris Saint-Germainby Manuel Ugarte.

However, the Ligue 1 giants are expecting a £50m fee for their midfielder.

NaplesMilan sporting director Giovanni Manna has also been working on a deal for Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku.

McTominay has been with Manchester United since 2002.

He only started 18 Premier League games last season but featured in the entire FA Cup winning streak, including the final against rivals. Manchester City.

He had his best season in terms of goals, scoring 10 times in 43 appearances in all competitions.

Despite interest from Napoli, McTominay played in Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

The Scot has made 255 appearances for Manchester United since his senior debut in 2017.
