Atletico Madrid head Diego Simeone is set to round up his summer signings in the coming weeks.
Simeone chose to strengthen his team this summer with new signings in his attack and Los Rojiblancos secured their first La Liga win of the season at home to Girona.
Simeone will be looking to use this as a platform to build on in the coming weeks and reserved special praise for his Argentine teammates. Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez made his first start for his new team against Geronaand although he didn't score, he impressed as part of a rotating line-up for Simeone.
“Julian worked a lot for the team, he took positions to be able to recover the ball and counter attack”, according to the reports of AS Diary.
“He played a role in the second goal, and of course he wants to score like Sorloth, he will get there.”
On the subject of how he plans to keep all his forward players happy, Simeone indicated that he has a plan in place, with the possibility of changing positions and mixing new players with existing stars.
“We see Griezmann, Alvarez and Sørloth playing together. We think Alvarez with Sorloth, Sorloth with Griezmann, all 3 together, with Alvarez and Griezmann on the wings.
