Now second ReliefCelta Vigo have agreed a two-year deal with Alonso, with a medical set for Tuesday. He might not be the formality he once was, as he spent much of last season on the sidelines.
With only Mihailo Ristic to compete at left-back, Alonso will be hoping to win a place in the XI under Claudio Giraldez, and earn regular football in Galicia. Over the course of his two seasons at Barcelona, Alonso won La Liga, making 45 appearances and scoring three for the Catalan side.
