As reported by Patrick Berger, both Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae are not participating in squad training with Bayern Munich.
It is understood that neither defender has suffered an injury, and instead, both players are training individually away from the squad.
As stated in the report, the reason for this is load management.
Upamecano is currently training inside, while Kim is training on the adjacent pitch to the rest of the Bayer squad.
With just four days remaining until Der Rekordmeister face SC Freiburg at home, there is cause for concern that neither defender will be ready for the clash at the Allianz Arena.
Against Wolfsburg on Sunday, Upamecano and Kim were far from their best, with the South Korean also at fault for Die Wölfe’s second goal.
This has led to reports suggesting that Bayern may reignite their interest in Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah as they look to reinforce their backline before the end of the transfer window.
