Mohamed Salah equals Alan Shearer's impressive record with a goal as Liverpool beat Manchester United
Mohamed Salah loves scoring at Old Trafford and has equalled a Premier League record with his latest goal in Manchester.
The Liverpool winger was on fire once again in the backyard of his club's main rivals Manchester United, putting the Reds 3-0 up on Sunday.
Salah now has an incredible ten goals in nine appearances at Old Trafford for Liverpool in all competitions.
That makes him only the second player to score ten or more goals at a single away stadium for Premier League clubs since 1992/93, the competition's inaugural season.
The last player to do so was former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer.
He scored ten goals at Leeds United's Elland Road during his career.
Liverpool swept the field at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Trent Alexander-Arnold thinking he had opened the scoring early on but Salah was deemed offside during the match.
But the visitors' initial frustrations were soon forgotten when Luis Diaz fired twice to put them ahead before the break.
Salah then found the net in the 56th minute in a perfect first visit to Old Trafford for new manager Arne Slot.
The Dutchman also wrote himself into the history books by becoming the first Liverpool manager to win his opening away game against Manchester United since George Kay in 1936.
Salah scored a famous hat-trick at Liverpool's rivals in 2021.
That's when they dismantled the Red Devils with a 5-0 win under Jurgen Klopp.

To emphasise how much Salah loves scoring against United, he has also scored (ten) or assisted (six) in 16 of Liverpool's last 22 Premier League goals against them.
Liverpool move up to second in the table as a result of Sunday's result, with Manchester City ahead on goals scored.
