According to the Spanish media AS, Manchester United are competing with real Madrid to sign young Sevilla player Juanlu Sánchez.

Spain secured the gold medal with a 5-3 win over France after extra time. Sanchez impressed in Paris and has continued his fine form for Sevilla this campaign. The youngster has started in midfield in all four of his La Liga appearances, providing a single assist in the process.

United have recently changed their transfer policy and have focused primarily on signing players with a lot of potential. Sanchez could fall into this category. He is still learning the trade at 21 years old but has caught the eye for his ball-playing ability, attacking mentality and ability to score goals and create chances.
