Liverpool fans fear player burnout after a key squad player suffered a serious injury
Harvey Elliott has been ruled out for a long period with a broken foot.
He Liverpool The star withdrew from the England Under-21 squad last week after experiencing discomfort during training during the international break.
Now, with the severity of his injury revealed, he is expected to be sidelined until the end of October.
And Liverpool fans are concerned Elliott's absence could add pressure. Dominik Szoboszlai.
One wrote on X: “We are about to take down Dominik Szoboszlai with the Harvey Elliott News about the broken foot. Hopefully he'll stay fit.”
“Harvey Elliott's injury is a big blow for Liverpool,” said a second player. “Liverpool can't start Szoboszlai in every game because he will burn out (perhaps like he did last season).
“Not only that, Elliott is a player who can see the passes. He is a very useful player for LFC's attackers.”
Despite a promising preseason, Elliott has played just seven minutes this campaign.
He came on as a late substitute in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Brentford at Anfield and is considered a valuable member of the team to relieve pressure on Arne Slot's midfield.
Jurgen KloppSzoboszlai's successor has opted to play him in the number 10 spot so far this season.
Now that his replacement is unavailable, Slot will have to resort to other options if the Hungarian struggles with his busy schedule.
The 23-year-old missed 12 games last season due to a hamstring injury and will likely need to monitor his minutes this campaign.

However, Liverpool are now scheduled to play seven games in just three weeks, starting with Saturday's home clash with Nottingham Forest.
Fans are already floating the idea of moving Alexis Mac Allister to 10, or bringing in Curtis Jones.
The latter recently returned to full training ahead of Liverpool's clash with Forest.
He missed the last two games due to a minor muscle problem.
Elliott, 21, has already played in 120 games with the Reds.
He has scored 10 goals, has made 15 assists and will probably fight to earn a starting place in Slot's team.
