Fabrizio Romano explains why signing Jamal Musiala would be so difficult for Real Madrid

International Germany Jamal Musiala he is arguably the most valuable player in German football alongside Florian Wirtz. Both 21 years old, Real Madrid have been linked with huge moves for both, but Musiala may be more difficult to bring.

Wirtz is settled at Bayer Leverkusen, but it seems likely that at some point they will leave their superstar playmaker, however Bayern Munich will have to lose Musiala. His contract is up in 2026 though, which means Bayern are running on the clock when it comes to getting a deal over the line. They will be backed into a corner if they can't get a new deal on line before next summer.

However, Fabrizio Romano explained that the most likely outcome is that Musiala commits his future to Bayern.

“No decision has been taken, it is a negotiation. Nothing has changed for now. Of course, Bayern are confident, they want Musiala to stay and his contact is too important a topic for the board, they cannot just fail in this mission “Negotiations are ongoing, too early to say how it will end,” he remarked Daily Briefing by Fabrizio Romano.

With Alphonso Davies looking to leave the club on a free to join Real Madrid next summer, losing another of their main stars in the same fashion would certainly be a bitter pill to swallow for the Bavarian giants. From another perspective, Musiala might feel that he will become just “another star” among a Real Madrid galaxy, while Bayern will likely build their side around him.
