Liverpool They are reportedly planning to make a bold attempt to sign Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala next year, according to Caught offside.
After joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea The 21-year-old, who joined the academy in 2019, made his senior debut for the Bavarian club the following year before establishing himself as a key part of the first XI in recent years.
He played for England and Germany at youth level but decided to play for Germany at senior level and has now been an integral part of Julian Nagelsmann's first XI.
Musiala is regarded as one of the world's best young talents and has the potential to become a world-class player in the future. Clubs across Europe have started lining up to sign him as he enters the final year of his current contract next summer.
Caught offside He claims that although Bayern Munich are willing to keep him, they are nowhere close to agreeing a new contract with him.
From Musiala to Liverpool
So Liverpool are looking to take advantage of that and are planning a bold move to secure his signature in 2025. The 21-year-old has ambitions to return to England and play for the Premier Leagueso the Reds managed to persuade him to join the club.
However, the report says Bayern Munich will demand a fee of around £152m if they are forced to sell him next year and the price could be a major hurdle for Liverpool to close any potential deal for him.
CO Other claims apart from Liverpool, Manchester City, real Madrid PSG and Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed interest in signing Musiala, meaning the Anfield club will have to overcome stiff competition to land the German international.
Musiala is the number ten because of his characteristics, but he is also efficient playing in the left wing position. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposing defenders in tight areas, has the ability to finish his chances and can also create opportunities for his fellow attackers.
It would therefore be a huge coup for Liverpool if they sign him. However, it will be interesting to see if the Merseyside club ultimately opt to formalise their interest in signing him next year.
