Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to make a bid to sign Boca Juniors 'jewel' Kevin Zenon, according to Spanish outlet Signings.

The Lilywhites were busy in the summer transfer window making new signings. Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray joined the club to bolster the midfield, while Wilson Odobert was also signed to add reinforcements on the flanks.

Dominic Solanke also joined from AFC Bournemouth for a club-record fee of £65m and Timo Werner has also signed on loan to bolster the attack.

As well as adding new faces, Tottenham also focused on reducing their squad, with Emerson Royal sold to AC Milan, while Oliver Skipp and Giovani Lo Celso were released to join Leicester City and Real Betis respectively.

Furthermore, Piere-Emile Hojbejrg has been allowed to join Olympique Marseille on loan and the Danish international's time at the north London club is virtually over.

Zenon to Tottenham

Now, it seems the Lilywhites have already started thinking about strengthening the squad next year to continue the rebuild under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou.

Signings claims that Zenon is on Spurs' radar and that they have been closely monitoring his current performances before making a possible signing.

The 23-year-old is currently one of the most interesting prospects in South America. He is a versatile player, as he can play in the engine room and on the flanks. In addition, he can cover the left-back position if necessary.

It has been reported that Zenon has a 13 million pounds buyout clause in his current contract, so Postecoglou's team would not have to spend much to secure his signature.

However, the report says Newcastle United They are also interested in signing him and have a long-term interest in him. In addition, Brighton and Hove Albion and Napoli are also planning to sign him.

The youngster has contributed 12 goals for Boca Juniors this season in 38 appearances in all competitions.

Having a versatile player is always useful, so Zenon would be a smart acquisition for Tottenham if they sign him. However, it will be interesting to see if Spurs ultimately opt to make a concrete approach to sign him in January or next summer.
