Already this season, despite the north Londoners dropping points against Manchester City and Brighton, the winger has been vital to his team.

In every Premier League game so far, the 23-year-old English star has recorded an assist.

Those came against the Wolves, Aston VillaBrighton, Tottenham and last weekend against Manchester City.

Gabriel's assist for the goal against their title rivals at the weekend proved key as the Gunners held on to a 2-2 draw.

And it saw Saka become only the second player in history to score in a Premier League club's first five games of a campaign.

The only other player to have done it? The Arsenal icon Thierry Henry.

However, the legendary French striker was unable to extend that period.

And that means Saka could become the first Premier League player to record an assist in his team's first six games of a season.

It's an incredible feat considering there are some exceptional players who have graced the top flight of English football.

Not even Manchester United hero Ryan Giggs – The Premier League's top assist-maker (162) did it.

Saka has assisted Gabriel twice in two games: one against Tottenham and one against Manchester City.

And neither has he done it Kevin De Bruyne who is in second place, even with goal machines Sergio Aguero and Erling Haaland in front of him.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo He failed to impress like Saka did from the wing in his early days at Manchester United.

Henry set the record in 2004/05, when the Gunners were on a wild run.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku is a better player than Gunners star Bukayo Saka

At the end of his famous 49-game unbeaten streak, Henry picked up assists in wins over Everton, MiddlesbroughBlackburn, Norwich and Fulham.

However, he failed to create a goal in the 2-2 home draw against Bolton Wanderersalthough he scored the opening goal of the match.

However, if Saka can create for one of his teammates against Leicester, he will surpass one of his idols.

In 2020, he said: “He is a hero to me for what he has done for my club, what he has done in football.

“I loved his personality, I loved the way he played, the goals he scored. He’s an incredible person, he was incredible at playing football, but he’s also an incredible person and that’s probably why he inspires me.”
