According to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich are interested in Argentinos Juniors midfielder Féderico Redondo as they look for a defensive-minded midfielder.
Redondo’s contract at the Argentine side expires at the end of the year, whilst he is also currently valued at €9m, according to transfermarkt. Bayern are said to see big potential in the midfielder and showed their initial interest in the winter. If Bayern are to make a move for the 21-year-old, it could potentially be in the summer.
Other names on Bayern list heading into the summer are João Palhinha but a move for the Fulham midfielder could only happen if the price is right. Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi is also an option, but Arsenal are also interested in the Spaniard.
Bayern have also shown an interest in Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot on their list. The Frenchman is an option for Bayern as he is a free agent in the summer and previous sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić was a fan. However, Rabiot’s profile is not that of a holding midfielder.
Despite the emergence of Aleksander Pavlovic this season, a defensive midfielder, or ‘six’ will likely be signed in the summer as head coach Thomas Tuchel has continued to push for once since joining the club.
