Robert Lewandowski got the ball rolling for the hosts in the first 10 minutes, before two quick goals from Raphinha and Inigo Martinez had Barcelona 3-0 up in the first half. Lewandowski added his second after the break, and on 81 minutes, the Catalan giants now went 5-0 up – they didn't score themselves, as it was an own goal by Mohamed Aly Camara.

Alejandro Balde delivered a dangerous cross into the penalty area, and the unfortunate Camara turned it into his own net – that moment summed up the evening for the Young Boys, whose first meeting with Barcelona was one to forget.
It had been a perfect evening for Barcelonaespecially since Frenkie de Jong was also able to play a few minutes from the bench – they needed it after the defeat in Pamplona at the weekend.
