the sun say ronaldo is pressuring Al Nassr to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Man City.

The report says the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has made a personal appeal to bosses to make the Belgian playmaker an offer he cannot refuse.

DeBruyneThe 33-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Manchester City and this is not the first attempt to lure him to Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr is believed to be willing to offer him up to £1m a week to sign.

This would more than double his current contract at Man City and it is unlikely that the club will be able to come close to what they would offer him.

talkSPORT understands Al Ittihad have shown interest this summer but City are still believed to command a fee in excess of £100m.

He has been a long-term target of the Saudi Pro League and they are happy to wait until his contract expires next summer.

De Bruyne has admitted that he has been open to a move to Saudi Arabia due to the huge sums involved.

Speaking this summer, he said: “At my age, you have to be open to everything. Incredible amounts are being talked about at what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.”

In another interview in June, he added: “Yes (I'll stay). I've read a lot of headlines about a transfer but I haven't spoken to anyone.

“I saw him (Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo) at the Club World Cup. I know Michael, so it makes sense for us to chat. But it wasn't about that (a transfer).

“It's hard to say now (what my next step will be). We will be sitting around the table in the coming months.

“I signed my contract at the right time. If you receive a good offer and tell Pep that you want to leave, that is possible. In other clubs it may be different. But I have never indicated that I want to leave.

“I have more than enough money. But if an absurd amount comes… that also goes to my family, my relatives, my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren and my friends.”

De Bruyne has racked up 103 goals in 171 assists in 388 games since joining City from Wolfsburg for £55m in 2015.

He has won the Premier League six times and helped them win the treble in 2023.
