Robert Lewandowski he made a bold prediction of Barcelona return to action after the October international break.
La Blaugrana completed the last international window with a dominant 3-0 win away to Alaves to extend their lead at the top of the table to three points.
Lewandowski continued his own hot form in the Basque Country, with a hat-trick, to take his goal tally to ten league goals so far in 2024/25.
The veteran striker will now leave to join the Poland squad but is confident that a return to domestic action will see Barcelona make a move.
“I have never played so many matches in a row with only two days of rest in between. These days of rest will be good for the team, not for those who go to the national team, but for the team,” as quotes from World of Sports.
“There are also many injured players who will return in the break.
“I'm confident after the break we'll be even stronger than we are now.”
Lewandowski is in line to make his 155th appearance for Poland as they host Portugal on October 12, before a second match in Warsaw three days later against Croatia.
Then back to Barcelona The League at home at Seville on October 20, before hosting his former club Bayern Munich in UEFA Champions League action on October 23.
