Celta Vigo took a remarkable win against Las Palmas on Saturday. Claudio Giraldez's team played with nine men for more than half an hour, then two red cards in three minutes – handed out to Ilaix Moriba and Iago Aspas.
As things stand, Moriba and Aspas will not be available for Celta's first game after the international break, which is against Real Madrid at Balaidos. However, the Galician club hopes that this will not be the case.
There was a big controversy around the two dismissals, and second SportCelta has already launched appeals with the Spanish Football Federation. Their hope is to have at least one of the yellow cards removed from both players, which would allow them to play against Real Madrid in just under two weeks.
