Aston Villa picked up a memorable win in the quarter-finals of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup on Wednesday evening.
Anna Patten converted from the penalty spot as Villa emerged as shootout winners against Brighton & Hove Albion, setting up an unprecedented semi-final appearance.
There is no game on the horizon this weekend, but Villa have still been putting the work in at Bodymoor Heath ahead of next weekend’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.
