Puado's transfer will be a welcome addition

Tottenham Hotspur have signed several talented La Liga players in recent years. Although they have a history of success or failure, there is every reason to believe that Javi Puado would be a medium-term solution as Son's backup.

Puado would have opportunities to play in cup competitions from time to time, while he could also play a regular role off the bench as Son aged. His recent injury has shown that Spurs are missing a quality left winger in the South Korean's absence.

When Son leaves Tottenham, Puado will have the qualities to remain as Tottenham's left winger during a transition phase, at which point they will hope Moore is also ready for a regular role in the team.

While all signs point to a deal for Puado being favorable from Tottenham's point of view, it remains to be seen whether the player is willing to accept a sideline role with the first division side giving up usual minutes with Espanyol.
