Aston Villa have again teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you FPL hints, tips and advice during the 2024/25 season.
Fantasy Football Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.
This month, they focus their attention on the form of midfielder Morgan Rogers.
Rogers (£5.3m) has become something of an FPL darling this season.
The 22-year-old is owned by 21.2% of managers, with only Ollie Watkins (£9.1m) more popular among FPL managers within Villa’s ranks.
To date, Rogers has returned 28 FPL points this season, which is only bettered by Watkins, who will set you back £3.8m more than his compatriot.
Rogers’ ownership levels this season make him more popular than FPL heroes of previous seasons such as Phil Foden (£9.2m), Heung-Min Son (£9.9m) and Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m). Each of these players are between £2.9m and £4.6m more expensive than Rogers. Indeed, Fernandes and Foden’s returns combined still deliver seven points less than what Rogers has returned.
His popularity in the game has seen the budget-enabling midfielder have three price rises already this season. He will now cost managers £5.3m if they want to invest. Since the Gameweek 1 deadline passed for 2024/25, 1,899,867 managers have transferred in Rogers.
In the opening seven gameweeks of the season, Rogers has started in every match for the Villans, registering a goal and two assists for his owners. The midfielder has also registered a clean sheet and is currently averaging an FPL point every 21.6 minutes.
Rogers has had 13 goal attempts so far, with eight of those having come from inside the box and four being classified as ‘big chances’.
However, his route to points is not limited to his goal threat. Rogers has also created 10 chances for his team-mates, of which four have been classified as ‘big chances’.
