Cadiz will not be punished for fans' strange raincoat protest during defeat to Real Betis
Cadiz's shocking form continued on Friday as they were beaten 2-0 by Real Betis at Nuevo Mirandilla. Mauricio Pellegrino's side are winless in 20 La Liga games (their last win came against Villarreal in September), and they have also failed to concede a goal in six of their last seven games.
Understandably, there is a lot of angst among the club's supporters, and that reached boiling point towards the end of Betis, as many fans threw their raincoats on the pitch to protest the poor form. It also led to the referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea ending the match 30 seconds earlier, due to the unplayable nature of the field.

dispute this, MD say that Cádiz will not be punished by the League or the Spanish Football Federation for the incident, as De Burgos Bengoetxea did not include it in his referee's report. Clubs would typically be fined in this scenario, but luckily for the Andalusians, they will avoid this.
