Real Madrid is one of the many teams that are eyeing the abundance of talented young players in South America. In recent years, they have signed Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Endrick Felipe, and in the last 12 months, River Plate's Franco Mastantuono has also been on their radar.

Mastantuono is an exciting attacking player, and is someone Real Madrid have been following for some time. In recent months, they have cooled their interest a bit, although it is still there. However, it could also mean they miss out on his signature.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via AS Diary), AC Milan is one of the clubs that also want to sign Mastantuono. However, they are unable to pay his release clause of 45 million euros, with a plan in place to pay the amount in two installments.

For now, River does not consider this, which gives Real Madrid a better chance to sign him, if they decide to do that.
