Samu Omorodion hits back after four goals – 'Atletico Madrid didn't think he was good enough'
Mail strikes Samu Omorodion started the season in good form after joining his new club, scoring 7 goals in just 466 minutes. The 20-year-old striker left Atletico Madrid this summer, while trying to finance moves for Alexander Sorloth and Julian Alvarez.
Omorodion was keen to stay at Los Rojiblancos in the summer, and was at one point on the verge of joining Chelsea, until negotiations broke down between the clubs. Then he will be signed by Porto, who paid 15 million euros for half of his rights.
A growing number of people are convinced that he should be part of the Spain side, and he has shown how good his form is after that. hit four times in the first half for the under-21s in a 6-0 win against Malta.
Speaking after the game Chain CopeOmorodion expressed some disappointment about how his exit was handled.

Several journalists, including on Cadena Cope and Ruben Uria, responded to the idea that he was forced out of the Metropolitan to be able to raise funds. Uria stated that it was not true that Omorodion was forced to train only by Los Rojiblancos, a version of events that the player himself did not do much.

Omorodion is undoubtedly one of the most promising talents in the Spanish set-up, and Atletico spent €6 million on him two summers ago after just one game against them in La Liga. After a successful season at Alaves, scoring nine goals on loan, it seemed that Atletico would get him back and try to develop him, but the young striker ended up as a quick buck for the Madrid outfit.
