Only six sides in the League have not had fans reported to the Anti-Violence Committee
As Atletico Madrid face punishment for throwing lighters at Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois, fan misbehavior is on the rise. The Colchoneros had their partial ban from the stadium reduced to a single match and a €3,000 fine, but the Anti-Violence Committee is trying to make an example of them.
AS Diary report that only six of the League's sides have avoided reporting to the Anti-Violence Committee. Villarreal, Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, Girona, Real Valladolid and Las Palmas all have clean records, while Real Sociedade are the worst offenders, on 23 occasions. They are followed by Real Betis on 22, and Getafe on 20. Barcelona has offended on 13 occasions, and Real Madrid twice.
The incidents occurred in 35 of the 90 games played this season, and there were a total of 175 incidents, with Getafe-Leganes (19), Sevilla-Real Betis (17) and Atletico-Real Madrid (16) accounting for almost almost a third of those incidents.
The Anti-Violence Committee reports anything from offensive singing, to racism, to actual physical violence, which means that every offensive insult is recorded. Then they recommend sanctions for the clubs (but not for every incident), which the Competition Committee makes a decision. The CC is a body of the Real Spanish Football Federation.
