Bayern Munich will be reunited with Hansi Flick tonight as the Rekordmeister take on La Liga leaders Barcelona in tonight’s Champions League clash.
The big news heading into this game is that Vincent Kompany will be without Aleksandar Pavlović after the 20-year-old was forced off against Stuttgart at the weekend following a bad fall after a collision with Fabian Rieder – the German midfielder will be sidelined for around six weeks with a broken collarbone, which should see João Palhinha make just his second start for Bayern Munich.
Other than the one forced change, expect Kompany to field the same team that beat Stuttgart 4-0 on Saturday.
But the big news coming into this game is the return of Jamal Musiala. The 21-year-old has missed Bayern’s last three games across all competitions with a hip injury and while it’s unlikely that he will start, coming off the bench is a possibility.
Bayern Munich Predicted XI vs Barcelona
Manuel Neuer – Raphaël Guerreiro, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae – Alphonso Davies – Joshua Kimmich, João Palhinha – Michael Olise, Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry – Harry Kane
