Arsenal to host prestigious Markets London Chess Classic on either side of Manchester United's visit
Arsenal will host the nine-day London Chess Classic in November and December.
The gunners play manchester united at home on Wednesday 4 December in the Premier League, but the Emirates will host the chess tournament on either side of the fixture.
The London Chess Classic will run from Friday, November 29 to Saturday, December 7 and will have a capacity for 400 fans.
It is also broadcast online for chess lovers who cannot attend in person.
Chess fans will enter through the Dial Square entrance, which is located on the south side of the stadium.
The London Chess Classic is the most prestigious tournament on the UK chess calendar, attracting the best grandmasters from around the world.
This is the 14th edition of the competition and the winner can win £50,000.
Spectator tickets cost £15 per day, and a season ticket for all seven days of play costs £60.
The Emirates have hosted a variety of events since their opening in 2006.
Last summer it hosted Arctic Monkey's The Car Tour, with fans in the seats and standing in an Emirates covered field.
The Killers, Coldplay, Green Day and Kaiser Chiefs have all played there before.
It was also one of the venues for the Rugby League World Cup in 2022 and hosted England's semi-final defeat to Samoa.

Arsenal They will visit West Ham the day after the tournament begins.
They will then host Man United in midweek, a day when the chess competition will stop.
The Gunners travel to Fulham on December 8, the day after the chess tournament ends.
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League standings, but hope to have closed the gap Liverpool and city of manchester for when the tournament arrives.
That starts this weekend when the Reds visit the Emirates, but the Gunners will face a exhausted squad.
“We are going to do everything possible to make them available in some way.” Mikel Arteta said about injury concerns Bukayo Saka, Ricardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber. “It's very uncertain.”
Regarding Calafiori specifically, he added: “He needs more tests. Yesterday he had some done, today they are going to do more.”
“Last time we thought he was very bad and he ended up playing two days later.”
As for Saka, the Gunners boss added: “He has trained a bit on the pitch.
“How far we can take it before Sunday is another question. We'll see.”
