Alan Shearer had a sarcastic message for Arsenal fans after Mikel Arteta's furious outburst in Newcastle
As Mikel Arteta's Arsenal travel to face Newcastle, defeat is not the only thing they hope to avoid.

The Gunners face Eddie Howe's side in the Premier League on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. live on talkSPORT.
Arsenal They will be desperate to get back to winning ways, having managed just one draw and one defeat in their last two league games.
But if they want to do it, they will have to avoid a repeat of what happened the last time they faced the Magpies in the top flight.
In November 2023, Arsenal were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Newcastle in a wrestling contest at St James' Park.
In the end it was a match that was decided by a controversial goal, with Antonio Gordon finding the back of the net for the Magpies in the 64th minute.
But the goal had to be reviewed by VAR for at least three separate incidents that could have disallowed the goal.
There was a suggestion the ball went out of play in the build-up, a possible foul on Gabriel before the goal and a potential offside to assess as well.
However, in the end none of these crimes stuck.
The goal was ruled to stand, giving Newcastle the crucial three points in the end.
With the Gunners unable to get back into the match, the match marked one of five matches that artetaThe team would lose the entire season.
And after the game, the Gunners boss didn't mince words when asked what he reflected on what he had made with the refereeing decisions.
“It's an absolute disgrace, that's what it is: a disgrace,” Arteta ranted. “There is a lot at stake.
“We have invested so many hours to compete at the highest level and you cannot imagine the number of messages we have received saying that this cannot continue.
“It's embarrassing. It is not acceptable, there is too much at stake. I don't want to be in the hands of these people.
“I don't know how to feel. I'm wasting time, we're wasting time.
“It is an absolute shame that it was allowed. For more reasons than one it should not be a goal.
“I've been in this country for more than 20 years and (the officiating) is nowhere near the level of the best league in the world. I feel bad to be a part of this.”
Not everyone took kindly to Arteta's angry outburst, with many believing his comments had gone too far.
In fact, the FA later fined him for what he said, although he was later cleared of any wrongdoing.
But after the match, pundit Gary Lineker took to X, then known as Twitter, to express his disapproval of the Arsenal manager, quoting some of his specific words.
He wrote: “Mikel Arteta has a fitting post-match rant: 'It's embarrassing.' It's a shame.' “
And he was joined by a fellow pundit and Newcastle legend to mock the coach. Shearer.
In response to Lineker's comment, Shearer wrote on X: “What was it?” while sarcastically questioning what it was that Arteta had found embarrassing.
His response sparked the ire of Arsenal fans who flooded social media to give their own response to Shearer.
“Come on @alanshearer, let's not do this,” one fan wrote on X.
Another added: “The ball out, the foul, the offside… Do you want me to continue????”
A third wrote: “Take off your black and white tinted glasses for a minute Alan.”
