Manchester City already holds the record for the most one-sided clashes in the history of the English football league and now has the opportunity to extend it.
Pep Guardiola's men face Bournemouth on Saturday looking to continue their historic unbeaten run, while the Cherries will want to end almost 40 years of misery.
Bournemouth have not won any of their 20 league games against Man City, losing 18 and drawing two.
It is a streak that stretches back to 1987, when both clubs were in the old Second Division, to the present day in the Premier League.
However, the start on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. could be the toughest test for the current English champions against Bournemouth to date, due to a City injury crisis and the south coast side still flying high after a morale-boosting victory over Arsenal.

These two join the Ballon d'Or winner Rodri, Kevin De BruyneOscar Bobb, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku are on the injured list, leaving Guardiola with just 13 fit outfield players.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said of the record: “It's 14 games, 14 losses (in the Premier League). There is a reason and this year they are undefeated in the Premier League, at the top of the table.
“It's not just difficult for Bournemouth, it's difficult for everyone. But we have to play them twice a season, so we have to maximize our options, give our best and see if it is enough.”
Their first meeting was in the Second Division, in December 1987, and Manchester City took the first three points of the run with a 2-0 victory.
February 1999 was the last meeting between the Football League clubs before both finally reached the top level.
They finally met 16 years later in the Premier League, in October 2015.
Manuel Pellegrini's team beat Bournemouth 5-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Raheem Sterling and a double from Wilfried Bony.
Glenn Murray scored the visiting team's only goal.
That day was the start of a 14-match losing streak for the south coast team at the top level of English football.
Last season's result was particularly memorable for Manchester City fans: Guardiola's team beat Andrei Radu in goal by six goals and only Luis Sinisterra managed to get on the scoreboard for the Cherries.
Man City had six different goalscorers, with Jeremy Doku being the first and then crowned man of the match with four assists.
Doku became the ninth player in Premier League history to assist four times in a single match, joining the likes of Harry KaneDennis Bergkamp and Cesc Fábregas.
He also became the youngest player to do so, aged 21 years and 161 days, and recorded five goal involvements in a single Premier League match.
Bournemouth came close in February 2024, when they only lost 1-0 against a Phil Foden Goal in the 24th minute.
Dominic Solanke almost tied the score with a header towards goal, but Ederson was well positioned to save the ball on the line.
Enes Unal also had a golden chance but narrowly missed with a header as Ederson climbed towards his right post.
But after beating Arsenal and holding Aston Villa to a draw in their last two games, Bournemouth can rest assured of claiming another big scalp and finally ending their 37-year voodoo with Manchester City.
