Manchester United's last game against Chelsea saw them break an unwanted Premier League record when Cole Palmer took center stage.

The Red Devils were 2-0 down after just 19 minutes of play at Stamford Bridge, but quickly equalized before half-time.

Alejandro Garnacho scored midway through the second half to put United ahead and direct them towards the three points.

However, two minutes of added time madness saw them collapse and leave west London with nothing to show for their efforts.

Sheffield United previously held the record after conceding in the eighth and tenth minutes of added time against Tottenham earlier in the season.

Palmer, the former Manchester City star who later admitted he supported United as a child, also made history that night.

His winning goal is the last scored in the Premier League and one that has turned Chelsea's 4-3 victory into an all-time classic.

It also completed the 22-year-old's hat-trick, the first of three he has scored for Les Bleus since his arrival in the summer of 2023.
