Loan round-up: Assist and clean sheet for Moreno

Àlex Moreno provided an assist and kept a clean sheet for loan club Nottingham Forest over the weekend, as they triumphed 3-0 over West Ham United.

Starting in his usual left-back spot, Moreno got the better of Konstantinos Mavropanos in the 27th minute to send a ball into the area for Chris Wood to steer home his eighth goal of the season.

The victory saw Nuno Espírito Santo’s side rise to third in the Premier League table.

In the Emirates FA Cup, there was also an assist for Tommi O’Reilly, on loan at Shrewsbury Town, as they lost 2-1 away at Salford City.

O’Reilly rose at the back post to head a cross back across goal in the 15th minute, for John Marquis to convert. Josh Feeney played 90 minutes for the Shrews in the same game.

Rico Richards came off the bench for Port Vale on 62 minutes, as they lost 3-1 at home to Barnsley, while Filip Marschall played 90 minutes as Crewe Alexandra were knocked out with a 1-0 defeat at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, and Lino Sousa was an unused substitute for Bristol Rovers, who needed extra-time to beat Weston-super-Mare 3-1.

In the Championship, Kaine Kesler-Hayden played 90 minutes for Preston North End in a 3-1 defeat at home to Bristol City, while Lewis Dobbin was an unused substitute on Friday evening as West Bromwich Albion were held to a 1-1 draw at Luton Town.

In Italy, Samuel Iling-Jr was an unused substitute for Bologna on Saturday, in a 1-0 Serie A win over Leece, while James Wright was on the bench for Real Unión, who lost 4-1 at Unionistas.
