“I don't read a lot of things about Barcelona. I'm focused on Betis, I'm happy here and I don't think about what they say here. The information always comes by itself,” he told Canal Sur, as quoted by Sport.
“I'm young, but I had a bad time in football, although I always took it as a learning experience. At Barça, I learned a lot about the good things and also about the bad, but now I'm very happy at Betis. It's hard to get there after paying so much for me, and if people don't help you, it's even harder.

Roque said that while he was happy to have four goals to his name so far, he feels he can do a lot better and is working on slowing down sometimes when he receives the ball. The Brazilian teenager could still go to Sporting CP this summer, but he preferred to move to Benito Villamarin.
“Both offers came to me at the same time, but I was always closer to Betis because of the sports project and the project of my family. I wanted to continue in Spain and here Barca behaved well because they made me and easier things. I'm focused on Betis and I don't think about anything else. And I hope I can win a title here.”
