Morgan Rogers has earned his maiden call-up to England’s senior squad.
Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder, 22, has been confirmed in the Three Lions ranks for their UEFA Nations League double-header.
Rogers’ call-up is reward for an impressive season so far in which he has shone for Unai Emery’s side, contributing with his driving runs from midfield and registering three goals in 11 Premier League appearances.
He joins Villa team-mates Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa in England’s squad for the crucial League B Group 2 matches against Greece in Athens on Thursday, November 14 (ko 7.45pm) and the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Sunday, November 17 (ko 5pm).
Rogers had initially been named in England’s Under-21 squad for their friendlies, having helped the Young Lions qualify for next summer’s European Championship during the October fixtures.
Congratulations, Morgan!
