Newcastle star Joelinton has made a desperate plea after burglars broke into his home again.
The Brazilian shared the devastating news on Instagram and said he and his family “just want to live in peace.”
“Our house was attacked again” Joelinton wrote.
“To anyone thinking about doing this: know that there is nothing valuable here!
“What matters most to us is the safety of our family and that our children grow up without fear. We hope for a community where our children, and everyone's children, feel safe.
“We ask that our home be respected as a safe space for our family. We simply want to live in peace.”
Is the second time this year the Joelinton house had been robbed.
The 28-year-old reported police regarding a robbery after receiving a security alert on his phone while at St James' Park watching Newcastle play city of manchester in January.
Joelinton did not participate in the game because he was out with an injury.
Northumbria Police were called to a property in Darras Hall at around 7.30pm on Saturday, January 13.
A force spokesperson said: “Thankfully the owner was not at home but received a security alert on his phone and immediately reported his concerns to police.”
The agents went to the scene, but the thieves had already fled.
The first time Joelinton's home was broken into came just weeks after the Manchester City star Jack Grealish was robbed while playing against Everton on December 27.
Grealish's family were present at the time of the robbery when the thieves made off with jewelery worth £1 million.
The 28-year-old was rushed to his home in Cheshire immediately after full time and shared his distress over the incident on social media.
“I can't begin to explain how devastated I am by the robbery that took place at my home a few days ago,” Grealish wrote.
“My family means a lot to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety. This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I am very grateful that no one was hurt.
“I have had so many incredible experiences and achievements in the last 12 months, but to be honest, the best year of my life in football right now doesn't feel like something I can celebrate.
“The people who commit these terrible crimes have no idea of the damage they cause to people's lives. I hope they are found and brought to justice so that no other family has to go through what we went through.
“I appreciate everyone's messages and the support of my friends, teammates and the club. On a more positive note, I would like to thank everyone for their support over this past year. I wish you and your family a happy 2024.”
