Aston Villa take on Crystal Palace at Villa Park today with a first league win of season firmly in the side’s sights.

Robert de Pauw’s team take on the Eagles this afternoon, 14:00pm KO, as they look to build on last weekend’s solid point gained.

Villa impressed on the road last Sunday as they held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw at Leigh Sports Village.

The Villans dominated proceedings and kept the Reds firmly at bay.

Anna Patten collected the Player of the Match award as she helped the side earn a well deserved clean sheet.

Indiah-Paige Riley put the Eagles ahead within the opening minute but the side couldn’t hold on for the win as Honoka Hayashi secured a point for Everton with a second-half header.

Today will be the first league meeting between the two sides since September 2019 when Aston Villa thumped Crystal Palace 6-0.
