Liverpool fans were left beaming after Uruguay's extra-time win against Colombia.

But that is not because they were able to see the goal by Reds forward Darwin Núñez. Instead, it was his celebration that they loved.

Colombia was leading 2-1 in added time of the World Cup qualifying match, with an own goal by Davinson Sánchez and an effort by Rodrigo Aguirre nullifying the first half by Colombian Juan Quintero.

The visiting team then thought they had earned a point when André Gómez scored the equalizer in the sixth minute of added time.

As the Uruguay players walked away in wild celebration, Núñez was seen running towards the Colombia players.

Beyond his antics, Núñez has also scored goals for Uruguay.

In June, he completed a streak of scoring in seven straight games, scoring 10 in the process.

That equaled a record set for his country by Hector Scarone between 1927 and 1928.

He also helped Liverpool reach the top of the Premier League.
