Racist incidents in El Clasico are still awaiting a verdict from the Anti-Violence Commission

It has been 26 days since Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu, in a match that was marred by incidents of racist abuse. Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ansu Fati were reported to have been victims of this, and 24 hours after the match, the matter was referred to the relevant authorities, which included the Anti-Violence Commission of the Spanish Football Federation.

However, AS Diary say that the matter is still to return a verdict – this is despite the fact that the Commission has met three times since the Clasico, with the last meeting that was earlier this week.

In similar cases in the past, the Anti-Violence Commission has ruled quickly – this season alone, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol were quickly punished for the actions of a very small group of supporters. Real Madrid they have already identified those responsible, but for now, they are still waiting for their possible sanction (s).
