Arsenal said they must replace Kai Havertz with their Premier League rivals' star if they are to win the title.
Arsenal need a figure up front like Alexander Isak to replace Kai Havertz.
This is the opinion of talkSPORT's Gabby Agbonlahor, and Alan Brazil agrees that the team is missing a classic number 9.
Arsenal are nine points off the top of the Premier League and Agbonlahor believes a big change is needed on the attacking end of the pitch.
He went on to suggest that Mikel Arteta should look to Newcastle for the solution to their problems, or they could distance themselves further from the pack.
“They trust (Bukayo) Saka too much. (Gabriel) Martinelli will play one game in five,” Agbonlahor said on Breakfast.
“I don't think Havertz is the leader you want in attack. They miss a striker,” Brazil agreed, adding that they need a scorer they can trust.
“Arsenal are dying for an Isak,” Agbonlahor later stated.
“He can hold the ball, he is strong, aggressive, quick at the back and he can score all kinds of goals.
“Havertz is being bullied, you don't know where he's playing. Chelsea In the game he was so poor.”
“Arsenal, if they don't sign an outstanding striker in January, I don't think they're going to be up there,” Agbonlahor added.
Havertz, who joined the Gunners last summer from Chelsea in June 2023 for £65m, has scored four goals in the Premier League this season and one in the Champions League.
Isak has also scored four top-flight goals so far, including one in the 1-0 win over Arsenal at St James Park earlier this month, as well as assisting two more.
Isak joined Newcastle for a fee of around £63 and finished last season with 21 goals for Eddie Howe's side.
Next Saturday, Arsenal face an in-form Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium, while Newcastle host a struggling West Ham United on Monday night, live on talkSPORT.
The Gunners are on a four-game winless streak, last drawing 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before the international break.
