Philippe Senderos played against countless Premier League legends, but one stands out as the toughest.
the first Arsenal The centre-back, who made 131 top-flight appearances for the Gunners, has named some of the league's most prolific goalscorers in his blind rankings with talkSPORT.
he named Wayne Rooney in third place, followed by Fernando Torres in second, but it was Chelsea Didier Drogba whom he placed as no. 1.
“Drogba has to be in the top two, at least against me!” said the former Swiss international. “He always scored great goals against Arsenal and was a tough striker.
“He was always in form against Arsenal and was a great player in the big moments.
“He was very physical and able to shoot from anywhere, good in the air, a difficult player to play against.”
Speaking of Torres, Senderos said: “He was fantastic for Liverpool At that time.
“He had great movements, he was very intelligent inside and outside, but also from the outside.
“He had great deliveries from (Steven) Gerrard and others around him who could put him in good areas and his movement in the box – he came alive.”
Torres, nicknamed El Niño, scored 85 top-flight goals during his spells at Liverpool and Chelsea.
Rooney, who scored 208 Premier League goals in 491 appearances for Man United, was ranked third according to the former Arsenal defender, who admitted the former Everton star could “hurt you from anywhere.”
