Liverpool continued his dominance at the top of the first division with a 3-2 comeback win over Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday.

The Merseyside giants were not at their best yesterday. They took the lead in the 30th minute through Dominik Szoboszlai, but Adam Armstrong equalized before the break.

Mateus Fernandes put the Saints ahead in the 56th minute. However, Mohamed Salah He equalized for the Reds with a wonder goal before scoring the late winner from the penalty spot.

Salah received the plaudits for his second-half brace, but Szoboszlai was also impressive. The Hungarian produced one of his best performances of the campaign in a match that turned out to be difficult in the end.

The former RB Leipzig player opened the scoring and also made 3 key passes for his teammates, according to sofa score. He completed 85% of his passes and had 100% accuracy on long passes (4 of 4).

Szoboszlai also completed 100% of his tackles (4 of 4) and 100% of his dribbles (2 of 2) with 6 of 8 duels won. It was a solid attacking display from the 24-year-old, who has been in and out of the lineup.

Better performance

Szoboszlai has been inconsistent in his performances for some time. He has the ability to produce outstanding displays and they have coincided with games where he has been non-existent.

The 24-year-old played second fiddle to Curtis Jones at No. 10 before the international break. Jones dropped to central midfield yesterday with Alexis Mac Allister alone on the bench for the match.

Mac Allister got a break after returning late from his shift in Argentina. The decision was a blessing for Szoboszlai, who stepped up with a performance that impressed coach Arne Slot.

Liverpool face real Madrid in it champions league in the middle of the week. Szoboszlai should keep his place in attacking midfield as Jones will most likely drop to the bench to compensate for the return of Mac Allister.
