Then, Leicester pulled the trigger and decided to dismiss Steve Cooper with the Foxes sitting just outside the bottom three.
Cooper lost his job Following the defeat to Chelsea, talkSPORT understands owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha had reservations about him shortly after appointing him in June.
Last season, it took until December for the first owner to swing his axe, but this time there have been two before.

Russell Martin 7/4
Time is running out for the Southampton boss, with the club entrenched at the bottom of the table.
The Saints have just one win all season, beating Everton 1-0 at home, but have lost nine and drawn one of their other 11.
This has included some spectacular collapses, including a 2-0 defeat against Leicester, when Jordan Ayew's 97th-minute winner capped an inspired Foxes comeback.
talkSPORT understands that Southampton's board is divided over what to do with Martin.
Owner Dragan Solak wants to see more from the former Swansea boss, while Martin still retains the support of the club's sporting director Rasmus Ankersen.
However, now that the Saints are five points from safety, they need to start scoring points sooner or later.
Otherwise, Martin is likely to move on.
Gary O'Neil 10/1
o'neil has potentially saved his job in recent weeks.
The Wolves coach was running out of time and excuses while his team was teetering in the relegation zone.
However, four games without losing and two wins in a row make his odds increase and his chances of dismissal disappear.
O'Neil received backing from the Wolves hierarchy at the start of the season, with six of his first eight Premier League games coming against teams that finished in the top seven.
Among those parties They were fighting performances at home against title seekers Manchester City and Liverpool, but without points to show.
His side was also gutted at the summer marketwith star Pedro Neto and key defender Max Kilman leaving for Chelsea and West Ham, respectively.
Set piece coach Jack Wilson has been fired and O'Neil has been chosen to continue…
But Old Gold has moved away from the bottom of the table and is now even completely out of the relegation zone.
If they can maintain this form, there will be no chance of O'Neil losing his job at Molineux.
Oliver Glasner 10/1
A few months is a long time in the life of a Premier League manager!
Glasner joined Crystal Palace in February to succeed Roy Hodgson and guided them to tenth place in the Premier League.
Glasner won seven of his first 13 games in charge of Palace and went unbeaten in his final seven games of last season, a run that included wins over Liverpool and Man United.
After his impressive start in life at Selhurst Park, Bayern Munich were revealed as interested in signing the Austrian as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel before Vicente Kompany was named.
However, Palace valued it for a whopping 100 million euros to retain his services, but a slow start to this season has changed the mood in south London.
Palace have only won one of 12 Premier League games this season and the club's rebuild is proving a problem.
Talisman Michael Olise and Jordan Ayew both departed (the pair's 13 assists last season accounted for almost a quarter of Palace's overall tally), as did Joaquin Andersen while Marc Guehi He was also the subject of persistent transfer talk even though he ultimately stayed.
On the contrary, the incoming stars Eddie Nketiah and Ismaila Sarr Both have apparently struggled in the Premier League, with Eberechi EzeThe injury doesn't help.
To make matters worse, Adam Wharton underwent surgery to fix a persistent problem, and the goals have also dried up for former hitman Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has three this season in 12 games.
Mateta, Palace's player of the year last season, scored 13 goals in 14 Premier League games under Glasner, more than any other player in the top flight during that time.
But this time things have turned out differently and Glasner's future seems uncertain.
