So a doubleheader for City is the last thing their title rivals want.

Why do Man City play twice in week 25?

The city will face Chelsea and Brentford at home next week, giving them a good chance to extend their lead over Arsenal.

But Liverpool also have a doubleheader, so the gap to the top could remain at two points if the Reds win both their games.

The reason City have two games on Matchday 25 is because of their Club World Cup campaign in December.

The Citizens were due to face Brentford on December 23, but that was postponed due to their involvement in the latter stages of the Club World Cup, which they won.

The Premier League has decided that this match will be played on Tuesday 20 February and will be broadcast live on talkSPORT.

This comes just weeks after City and Brentford's last game which ended in a 3-1 win for Guardiola's men.

Phil Foden scored a hat-trick in west London to seal three points for the Premier League champions, so the Bees will fear the worst.

If they can achieve consecutive victories against Chelsea and Brentford, City could be heading for one of those unstoppable runs that would make them champions again.
