West Ham fans were seen leaving the London Stadium after a shocking first-half performance against Arsenal on Sunday.

Arsenal ran rampant in east London, beating four in a sensational half in which former West Ham captain Declan Rice gets two assists.

William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel and Leandro Trossard scored to surprise the Hammers crowd.

And Sky Sports cameras overhead captured legions of fans leaving the ground and heading home before the half-time whistle blew.

West Ham were branded a “disgrace” by Roy Keane in the Sky Sports studio, while commentator Alan Smith said: “I can't believe what I'm seeing.”

The stands seemed visibly empty before half-time, even before Trossard scored in the 47th minute.

And with cameras overhead capturing fans leaving the ground, it sums up what has been a stunning opening 45 minutes from the Hammers on Sunday.

Arsenal burst out of the traps and, in truth, could have been further ahead if Saka had had his shooting boots.

But David Moyes, who has already been under pressure this season, will be furious at the way they conceded first.

After several elaborate corners, Rice decided to go old school in the 32nd minute with his delivery and sent a cross towards the far post.

There, Saliba rose highest and unopposed to score the first goal and give Rice an assist against his former club.

Saka was then released after a brilliant ball over the top from Trossard saw the England international face to face with Alphonse Areola, who fouled him in the box.

After a lengthy VAR check to see if the 22-year-old was offside, he finally dusted himself off and scored his 50th goal for the Gunners.

That was in the 41st minute and Moyes might have felt they could regroup at the break.

But the worst was to come when another Rice delivery found Gabriel with a free kick, beating Areola to make it three.

Trossard then completed the 45-minute rout with a beautiful finish into the top corner after giving up Kurt Zouma.
