Boubacar Kamara is looking forward to Premier League action under the lights at Villa Park on Wednesday night as Aston Villa aim to get back on track against Brentford.

Unai Emery’s side contest their first midweek Premier League fixture of the season, looking to return to winning ways against the west London outfit before then hosting Southampton on Saturday.

After defeat on the road at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday, the midfielder assessed the upcoming threat of Thomas Frank’s outfit and insists Villa will be well prepared for the encounter.

“We need to work game by game,” he said.

“The first is Brentford, against a good team, really strong defensively.

“Brentford have good strikers, so we need to prepare well [for] the game, and I hope that we win.

“Sometimes we don’t have the result we want, but it’s part of football, so we need to stay stronger, to work, everybody, and I think the results will be back.”

The Frenchman confessed his excitement ahead of another match under the lights in B6, admitting the atmosphere for evening matches feels a little different.

He added: “For me, the atmosphere is better on the night at Villa Park.

“Before the game, it is more like a show, so on the field we see the atmosphere is better on the night.”

Kamara discussed his return from injury and how it feels to be back in action for the Villans having missed eight months following surgery on a knee ligament injury.

The 23-year-old is looking to maintain his positive form, on the back of impressing against Juventus and starting his first Premier League match of the season at Stamford Bridge.

He continued: “The most difficult [period] is the first two months, because you can’t work, you can’t do anything, so after this, it’s fine.

“But when you come back with the team, it’s difficult because you don’t have a good preparation.

“After eight months, my body needed a few weeks of adaptation. Now, I feel good. I enjoy, and I hope I can continue like this.”
