Despite showing his passion for the club he has been part of since the age of eight, one talkSPORT caller questioned the level of his celebrations.

Shaun called the Sports Bar and said: “When Gallagher scored, I just didn't like his celebration, it was too early in the game. If you score in the last minute… if he scored his second goal first, I would do it.” Get it, minute 90, you have the winner, you run into the crowd.

“But it was like the 60th minute and I thought, 'The Palace fans loved him when he was there all season'. And I was thinking how much it means to the Palace fans to not see a player celebrate.”
