Wrong decision: Emmanuel Petit questions Chelsea's decision on this player
Emmanuel Petit has reacted to reports that Chelsea are willing to sell Conor Gallagher this year.
The Blues are said to be willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old, who has captained the team this season.
Gallagher has been one of Chelsea's best players under Mauricio Pochettino, but not even the Argentine could rule out a move for the midfielder.
Petit, however, told DAZN: “I understand Chelsea's frustration with the possibility of Gallagher moving to Tottenham and, frankly, I was surprised to read it in the papers.
“I thought, 'Is this a joke?' What sense does that make after giving him the opportunity after the loan to Crystal Palace?
“If you want to sell Gallagher because you spent over a billion pounds on new players in a year, then you have no idea what you're doing…”
