Marc Cucurella ran to the sidelines to change his boots after slipping TWICE and gifting Tottenham two goals against Chelsea.

Dominic Solanke's fifth-minute opener in Spurs' 4-2 defeat came after the blues lost possession near the halfway line due to a slip by Cucurella.

The hosts' second came in the 12th minute, when the Chelsea left back slipped again at the key moment while trying to clear the ball in his own half.

Dejan Kulusevski stole the ball from the Spain international and ran through the Chelsea defense before shooting wide.

The ball went into the bottom right corner, putting the Spurs up 2-0.

As Spurs celebrated, cameras showed Cucurella running to his team's bench to change his boots.

He gestured toward the bench, as if to indicate that his boots had not prevented him from skating in front of the goal.

The Spanish international sat on the ground and quickly put on his new boots before the restart.

The match's co-commentator, former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher, had no sympathy for the Euro 2024 winner.

“Cucurella comes to the bench, don't blame anyone else, it's your fault, son!” Carragher said, live on Sky Sports.

“Absolutely schoolboy stuff. Disgraceful.

“He slips again. Look at him shrugging. Didn't he warm up?”

Cucurella was able to grip the grass better in his new boots after changing them and even made fun of him after the game.

On her Instagram Story, she posted a picture of the boots in the bin with the caption: “Sorry sad…”

Chelsea pulled one back after Spurs' first two goals through Jadon Sancho to calm the traveling team's nerves.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger cut inside and fired magnificently into the back of the net with a help from the inside of the post in the 18th minute to reduce the deficit.

It was a grueling first half in north London, which was partially interrupted by a section of Spurs fans throwing what appeared to be paper onto the pitch.

The hosts' night got even worse when Chelsea came back with two penalties from Cole Palmer and an excellent finish from Enzo Fernández.

Heung-min Son scored a late consolation goal before Spurs suffered their seventh Premier League defeat of the season.
