Los Blancos have a 50% sell-on clause in Gutierrez's contract, as well as an €8m buyout clause, making the 22-year-old a cheap alternative at left-back. It seems that Real Madrid is not particularly married to Ferland Mendy or Fran Garcia, with the latter likely to move next summer. Gutierrez is arguably the most consistent of the trio over the past 19 months.
