Amazon Prime’s coverage of the Champions League featured it’s second on-air swear in a matter of weeks when RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose gave a whole-hearted appraisal of his side’s form.

The German spoke ahead of his side’s clash against Aston Villa on Tuesday night, which came off the back of two consecutive wins. Rose’s job at Leipzig has come under threat, with the side languishing toward the bottom of the Champions League table after failing to register a point in their first five games.

When asked about how quickly the mood in the club can change after their pair of domestic wins, Rose, who has been in charge at the Red Bull Arena since 2022, gave a candid response.

‘Like always, if you win everything is fine but if you lose it’s s***,’ he said on Amazon Prime. ‘The mood is much better than the games before but we have to use it today.’

The expletive appeared to go unnoticed among most of the panel, though host Gabby Logan was unable to hold in a light chuckle before the manager continued with his answer.

Curiously, it is the second episode of its kind during Amazon’s coverage of the European Cup this season. Last month Logan was forced to apologise to viewers after former defender and pundit Josephine Henning swore after Manchester City‘s 3-3 draw with Feyenoord.

Last month former defender and Amazon Prime pundit Josephine Henning raised eyebrows when she described City’s performance as ‘s***’

‘I’m talking about if you want to accept that the situation is s***,’ Henning said. ‘Gabby is looking at me like “Oh my god she said this!”.’

‘It is the worst. In the second half, they looked afraid. I could see the fear. You have to accept it but then you have to face it brutally.’

Logan swiftly added: ‘I’m just looking at the time it’s 10:20pm. I do apologise.’

Social media users didn’t seem too fussed, however, with one fan taking to X to write: ‘I’ll say it again. Champions League coverage on Prime Video Sport is next level.

‘Just for Josie Henning calling it as it it. When it’s s***, people should be angrier. Love it!’

Rose and his side go in search of their first points in the competition this season, while Aston Villa look poised to secure a top-eight finish that will ensure safe passage to the last-16.

Unai Emery’s side were one of seven teams with 10 points from their first five matches in the revamped competition this term.
