The main problem for Flick is to transfer his European form to domestic action. The Blaugrana have the opposite problem to what they have dealt with in recent years, with just one win in their last five Liga games.
“This victory should give confidence. We have a very young team and games every 3 or 4 days. The good thing is to see how all the players behave, in training and matches. I hope to see this again on Sunday against Leganes.”
Barcelona closes its 2024 with home matches against Leganes and Atletico Madrid, from which six points will guarantee them first place during the Christmas holidays. The Rojiblancos are the form team in Spain though, with their win over Slovan Bratislava a tenth straight win.
