Mauricio Pochettino praises Chelsea star for David Beckham's scoring style
Mauricio Pochettino was happy to see Raheem Sterling score from a set piece on Saturday night.
Sterling scored Chelsea's third goal during their 4-0 FA Cup third round victory against Preston North End.
It was the second time the 29-year-old had scored from a free kick this season, following a similar goal in Chelsea's 4-1 defeat to Newcastle last year.
Pochettino said: “I told him after the game that David Beckham is shaking because you are going to get his record!
“That's the quality. You can practice all day every day, but then it's about taking the free throw and scoring. We practice but it is not a special practice for him.
“It's about its quality. He scored today and against Newcastle. It is about the ability to believe and, of course, its quality.”
